From Zuheros, one of the most beautiful of the Andalusian white villages, we explore Córdoba province: the Sierras Subbéticas, the vineyards and olive groves of the Campiña, and the fertile Guadalquivir valley... not forgetting the capital Córboba itself, in its seasonal decor!
ONE WEEK Activities: discovery of Córdoba province with a variety of visits; 5 days with walks of 2h30-4h, max. denivellation +350m. Group 10 maximum.
FULL BOARD EXCEPT 3 MEALS, in twin rooms (private bathrooms). Seven nights in one of our favourite hotels, at Zuheros.

RENDEZVOUS & DISPERSAL Málaga (airport, station or city centre). Choose a flight arriving before 15.00 and departing after 12.30.

DAY-TO-DAY
MONDAY: Transfer from Málaga to Zuheros. Zuheros has a castle, a cave and a most interesting folk museum, all of which we shall visit during the week. On the way, we pay a visit to Rute for its seasonal specialities: 'turrón' and the giant 'Belén de chocolate'.
TUESDAY: The 'little train of the olives' with a walk along the vía verde to Doña Mencía (lunch in the former station). Montilla is the centre of Montilla-Moriles wine production. We visit the Casa del Inca, a bodega and a barrel-maker.
WEDNESDAY: A day in Córdoba: mosque-cathedral, synagogue, caliphal baths, Alcázar, and the ruins of Madinat al-Zahra, ephemeral city-palace of the Caliphs.
THURSDAY: Priego: the house of the president of the Second Republic, and Andalusian baroque. The superb Roman villa and museum at Almedinilla. 'Santa Rita' walk in the heart of the Subbéticas Cordobesas Natural Park.
FRIDAY: Walk of the strange poljes (high plains surrounded by abrupt limestone crests) of La Nava. Much livestock (horses, sheep, goats, iberian pigs) and numerous vultures.
SATURDAY: 'Bailón-vistas de Zuheros' walk. New Year's Eve with a special dinner, some music and the traditional consumption of 12 grapes on the strokes of midnight!
SUNDAY: We start the New Year with the Fuente del Espino walk.
MONDAY: Transfer from Zuheros to Málaga.
